IGOR SMITKA
Igor Smitka is a Slovak director & cinematographer. He uses film as a tool of empowerment that gives him the possibility to tell the stories of interesting individuals or minorities who otherwise would remain unheard / unseen.
Igor won best photography at Fashion Film festival Milan with experimental short Rite of Spring in which he was deeply involved creatively. His film Comfort Zone won best cinematography at ASVOFF and best documentary at Berlin Commercial awards, following with Best Photography at Fashion film festival Milano. He is currently in postproduction of a queer documentary exploring the local ballroom scene in Prague & Bratislava.
